• 3-Ply Engineered Construction with NOVOLOC® 5G
  Built from 100% natural wood, this three-layer engineered construction is specifically designed to counteract the natural forces of wood, eliminating the torsion, bending, and deformation common in solid planks. While traditional tongue-and-groove flooring is prone to shifting and pulling apart as the home's climate changes, the advanced NOVOLOC® 5G click system creates an unyielding, integrated mechanical lock. Snapping the planks tightly together along both the long and short edges, it maintains continuous perimeter tension. This active engineering prevents the seasonal gapping that occurs when humidity drops in the winter, ensuring a permanently flawless, monolithic surface that stays exceptionally tight and stable year-round. This 3-ply construction uses cross-layered natural wood to absorb and neutralize thermal stress, entirely preventing the cupping, warping, and checking (surface cracking) typical of solid wood in dry climates.

  Arid climates and radiant heat systems create a low-humidity environment that forces standard wood flooring to lose moisture rapidly, leading to structural failure. Our floors are kiln-dried and typically require little to no acclimation (be sure to follow NWFA guidelines), having incredible dimensional stability. The NOVOLOC® 5G locking system maintains a continuous, tight seal across the entire floor, ensuring efficient heat transfer while eliminating the risk of dry-season gapping. Fully approved and optimized for all radiant in-floor heating systems.
