Scheucher finishes stand out in the premium flooring market because they combine advanced process technologies with non-toxic, eco-friendly materials. Rather than using standard generic coatings, Scheucher Parkett develops multi-layered, specialized finishes that strike an optimal balance between long-term durability and the preservation of natural wood.

Stock Finish:
PUROTEC gloss level 4-5 – A natural matte UV-lacquered surface using innovative excimer technology that creates the optical illusion of untreated wood while providing superior scratch and abrasion resistance. Maintenance-free, commercial-rated, excellent for high-traffic areas.

Special Order Finishes:

• X-Matte (TENSEO) gloss level 8-10 - A natural UV matte lacquer surface using innovative excimer technology that creates a micro-folded continuous layer for a deep matte look. Provides exceptional chemical and micro-scratch resistance, an anti-footprint effect, and maintenance-free, commercial-rated high object suitability.
• SEDA (Oiled/Waxed)  – Natural oils and waxes applied in a century-old tradition with a silky matte surface, natural texture, and intensive wood color that guarantees a healthier interior climate. Repairable scratches on-site; ideal for those wanting an authentic wood feel.

DURABILITY & PERFORMANCE

• 3-Ply Engineered Construction with NOVOLOC® 5G
  Built from 100% natural wood, this three-layer engineered construction is specifically designed to counteract the natural forces of wood, eliminating the torsion, bending, and deformation common in solid planks. While traditional tongue-and-groove flooring is prone to shifting and pulling apart as the home's climate changes, the advanced NOVOLOC® 5G click system creates an unyielding, integrated mechanical lock. Snapping the planks tightly together along both the long and short edges, it maintains continuous perimeter tension. This active engineering prevents the seasonal gapping that occurs when humidity drops in the winter, ensuring a permanently flawless, monolithic surface that stays exceptionally tight and stable year-round. This 3-ply construction uses cross-layered natural wood to absorb and neutralize thermal stress, entirely preventing the cupping, warping, and checking (surface cracking) typical of solid wood in dry climates.
• Radiant Heat & Dry Climate Compatibility
  Arid climates and radiant heat systems create a low-humidity environment that forces standard wood flooring to lose moisture rapidly, leading to structural failure. Our floors are kiln-dried and typically require little to no acclimation (be sure to follow NWFA guidelines), having incredible dimensional stability. The NOVOLOC® 5G locking system maintains a continuous, tight seal across the entire floor, ensuring efficient heat transfer while eliminating the risk of dry-season gapping. Fully approved and optimized for all radiant in-floor heating systems.
• The PUROTEC Advantage
  Scheucher's innovative PUROTEC finish combines the natural look of untreated wood with exceptional durability. Using a unique excimer-cured, solvent-free UV lacquer, PUROTEC delivers outstanding scratch, abrasion, and chemical resistance while minimizing color changes caused by sunlight. The ultra-matte surface is easy to clean, practically maintenance-free, and features an anti-footprint effect, making it an excellent choice for busy homes and demanding commercial spaces.
• Janka Hardness Rating
  White oak has a Janka rating of approximately 1,360 lbf—the industry benchmark —making it ideal for residential and light commercial use, including homes with active families and pets.
